Film Screenings / Distribution
Now in completion, Melting Glass has begun showing at film festivals in the US and abroad. The first screening took place in the First Look Festival at the Directors Guild of America and we have had twenty eight other festival showings. At the conclusion of the festival circuit, we will distribute the film on cable, television, dvd and video through our distributor, Iron Communications Inc.

Melting Glass - Project Mission
The focus of the project is to provide graduate filmmakers with the opportunity to advance their work in a multi-cultural environment, enabling them to share their knowledge and artistry through the collaborative effort of filmmaking. USC is proud to sponsor a very unique production which has enabled several graduate student filmmakers from the U.S. to travel to Slovakia and the Czech Republic to collaborate with Eastern European student filmmakers in the production of a thirty-minute film, "Melting Glass".

The finished film will be the result of efforts to bring Eastern and Western filmmakers closer together in an exchange of differing philosophies, creative impulses and approaches to the cinematic language. The student filmmakers will share their experience and knowledge with colleagues and audiences in the years to come, influencing and deepening their work.

Melting Glass has gathered some of the finest talent from these graduate film schools together for a very special educational, international experience focused on new techniques and technologies in the language of film and communication, thus promoting the advancement of film as a visual medium.
